The Curacao Gaming Authority, or CGA, informs that the six-month temporary license, which was given by operation of law to every operator with a valid license when the National Ordinance for Games of Chance, called LOK, started on December 24, 2024, will stop on June 24, 2025. The CGA has already made contact with those operators whose provisional licenses are not being extended for another term.
Automatic Extension for Remaining Operators
No such message means that you can count on the temporary license being extended for another six months up to December 24, 2025, using the same terms. By Friday, June 27, 2025, the CGA will distribute the license to every operator for this additional period. Both Green Seal B2C organizations and B2B holders require this announcement. CGA wants every operator to meet every LOK rule by the end of these second six months if they wish to get a full license.
Checklist Requirements and Ongoing Compliance
Each item on the checklist on the CGA Portal must be completed on time, along with any new policies that CGA puts forward by the LOK law. Any operator licensed from CGA after December 24, 2024, should match or make visible progress on their checklist and fresh points inside LOK for the first six months after the provisional license’s issue date. Granting an extension of up to six months or issuing a full license will depend on the level of progress shown by each operator.
