Betr has promoted three long serving executives as the company prepares for its next growth phase. These appointments include Alex Ursa as Chief Operating Officer, Alex Kuwada as Chief Marketing Officer, and Mike Denevi as Chief Content Officer.
Ursa, the first employee hired by Betr, steps into the COO role after almost four years as head of gaming. He will oversee product development and operations, including the continued rollout of what the company describes as the industry’s first super app.
Before joining Betr, Ursa spent eight years within Flutter, building experience across several parts of the business.
Kuwada also joins the executive leadership team after serving as head of marketing since July 2024. In his new role, he will oversee customer acquisition, retention, VIP operations and other commercial functions.
Promotions Reflect Experience Built Across Betting And Media
Before joining Betr, Kuwada spent six years at FanDuel, another Flutter brand, where he held positions including growth director and senior director of growth.
Denevi has been promoted from Head of Media to Chief Content Officer after more than four years with the company. He will keep leading Betr’s content and brand strategy as the business expands.
He was the company’s second employee, joining in April 2022 after nearly a decade at Bleacher Report, where he held several leadership positions, including director of brand strategy.
Betr Builds Executive Team Before Prediction Markets Launch
Founder and CEO Joey Levy said the three executives have played an important role in the company’s development.
“We would not be where we are today without these three executives,” Levy said. “I am thrilled to continue scaling Betr into a category defining business with them.”
The appointments follow Betr’s planned prediction markets launch later this year, plus Betr Picks, Betr Social Sportsbook, Betr Social Casino and Betr Arcade within the same app.
