Spribe has resumed offering gambling facilities under its software licence in the UK following a suspension by the UK Gambling Commission. The suspension, issued in October 2025, was linked to “serious non-compliance with the hosting requirements of our licensing framework.”
The developer, known for its crash game Aviator, was found to be operating under a Gambling Software licence without the required Hosting licence. The regulator stated that the action was taken on “grounds of suitability.”
Licensing issue linked to technical setup
Spribe stated that the issue stemmed from an administrative error. CEO David Natroshvili said the company had not received prior warning from the regulator before the suspension.
In a statement issued on 31 October via LinkedIn, the company said: “Spribe has held a remote operating licence in the UK market since late 2020 and has complied with all its terms, including annual audits, regulatory returns, and transparent communication with the GC regarding any questions or concerns throughout all these years. It only came to our attention last week from the GC that, due to our technical setup, we need to add a hosting licence to our existing one.”
Business activity continues despite regulatory setback
Despite the suspension, Spribe continued its commercial activity. In February 2026, the company announced former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping as its brand ambassador for Aviator under a one-year agreement.
The Gambling Commission has given no further details beyond its initial justification. Spribe has also not issued additional comments since its license was reinstated.
