Mindway AI has launched Gamalyze Sports, a new version of its player protection tool for sports betting operators and bettors. The launch coincides with the FIFA World Cup, with DraftKings implementing the solution across its platform.
Lori Kalani, Chief Responsible Gaming Officer at DraftKings, described the tool as “a fun and engaging way for those who play to get personalised feedback on their risk tolerance and decision-making strategy.”
Football-Themed Assessment Replaces Traditional Questionnaires
Gamalyze Sports uses a virtual football environment to assess player behaviour and risk preferences.
The concept follows the same approach as Gamalyze Casino, originally built around a card-based game. Instead of asking users to complete lengthy questionnaires, the platform evaluates decision-making through gameplay interactions.
Mindway AI believes this approach reduces friction and encourages more participation compared to traditional responsible gambling assessments.
According to data shared by the company, more than 80% of users who started a Gamalyze Casino session completed the experience. The company described the improvement in completion rates compared to standard screening questionnaires as “dramatic.”
Behavioural Data Helps Build Individual Risk Profiles
Once a player completes the assessment, the platform generates a personalised report with a preventative action plan.
Mindway AI said internal data shows that between 2% and 3% of generated reports are downloaded by users. The company states that Gamalyze Sports is built on more than a decade of neuroimaging and behavioural research conducted at Aarhus University in Denmark.
Player choices throughout the game are analysed to assess attitudes towards risk, rewards and losses. These behavioural patterns are used to create an individual profile of the user’s decision-making style.
Operators Gain Earlier Visibility Into Potential Risk
For operators, the tool provides access to assessment results through the Gamalyze dashboard.
The objective is to help identify potentially vulnerable customers before gambling behaviour escalates into heavy financial losses.
