Kalshi Partners With Genius Sports For Official Data and Integrity Services

Kalshi has partnered with Genius Sports to bring sports data and integrity services to its prediction market platform for its users. The deal was announced one day after Genius signed a similar agreement with Polymarket, although the Kalshi partnership does not include exclusive streaming rights.

Genius Sports shares rose following the announcement. The stock traded as high as $8.60 and started at $8.40, up more than 4.3% from Tuesday’s $8.05 closing price. Under the agreement, Genius will provide Kalshi with data from competitions including the English Premier League, Serie A, Liga MX, Argentine Primera División and French Ligue 1.

The companies said official data will provide a verified source for settling sports event contracts, improving transparency and reducing reliance on unofficial information.

“Prediction markets will scale on a foundation of trusted, fast and accurate data, reliable technology and robust integrity services, and that is exactly where Genius Sports is uniquely positioned,” said Sean Conroy, EVP of Rights and Partnerships, at Genius Sports.

“This partnership with Kalshi demonstrates how we can provide the essential technology layer that enables accurate and transparent sports markets. As the category grows, we believe Genius Sports will play a central role in shaping its development while helping protect the integrity of sports.”

Integrity measures expand as Kalshi faces regulatory pressure

Kalshi will participate in Genius Sports’ information-sharing processes, while certain market types will be restricted and visibility into market activity increased. The measures will protect sporting integrity and follow allegations of insider trading on Kalshi.

The agreement also comes while Kalshi faces a $36bn illegal gambling lawsuit in New York. Despite those challenges, Genius sees further growth potential in prediction markets. With Kalshi and Polymarket both signed, the company now has relationships with the two largest platforms in the sector.

Genius will support Kalshi’s audience growth through marketing services and media properties owned by Legend, acquired by Genius for $1.2bn in May.

“As the prediction market ecosystem continues to expand at a rapid pace, the use of official data and integrity services is more important than ever, ” Adam Barrick, Head of Sports Partnerships at Kalshi, added.

“We’re proud to partner with Genius Sports, with their proven track record in providing the highest quality sports data and working alongside leagues to protect the transparency of sporting competitions.”

Partnership strengthens Genius Sports’ position in prediction markets

The Kalshi agreement gives Genius another foothold in a sector attracting growing interest from sports and financial market stakeholders. Its role extends beyond supplying data, with the company providing integrity monitoring and media support as prediction market operators compete for scale.

The deal highlights the importance of official sports data as event contracts become tied to mainstream competitions. For Kalshi, this partnership adds a sports technology provider while the company faces regulatory challenges in several US jurisdictions.

Investor attention will turn to Genius Sports’ Q2 results, expected to indicate how its Legend acquisition is affecting the business.

Kalshi’s latest collaboration with Genius Sports shows that prediction markets are actively building infrastructure to support responsible engagement through stronger integrity systems. The company’s credibility will contribute to its growth in the coming months while regulators question where these platforms fit.
