Wynn Resorts Launches Major Recruitment Drive for Al Marjan Island Project
Wynn Resorts has begun advertising many roles for its $5bn Wynn Al Marjan Island resort in Ras Al Khaimah, which will open in 2027. The property, planned as the Gulf’s first legal casino, will exceed Wynn’s Las Vegas flagship in size. The operator seeks staff across the casino floor, management, marketing, and IT functions. Open roles include pit managers, table operations managers, dealers, nightlife planners, and senior marketing executives.
Recruitment also covers multiple vice president roles in casino marketing, responsible for expanding VIP networks across the Middle East, North Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The company site and LinkedIn job posts report that we are looking for the attraction of high net worth players, management of agents, and development of relationships with regional influencers.
Expansion of Recruitment to Major Middle Eastern Cities
Recruitment has gone to cities like Dubai, Riyadh, Doha and Cairo. Wynn reports the resort will see annual revenue of up to $5 Bn and has also bought 70 more acres in Ras Al Khaimah for growth. By 2025 Q2, Wynn Al Marjan Island reported 52 new hires, which brought the total headcount to 100, and we saw that they are on track to hit 330 by year’s end.
In the UAE, where gambling is not allowed, the government in 2023 set up the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) for licensing and compliance. Wynn reports that they are in compliance with these regulations, which also include reporting of suspicious activity and resolution of disputes.
Wynn reports that they have started a recruitment drive, which comes after their purchase of land for what may be a second resort on Al Marjan Island, which in turn indicates that the company has bigger expansion plans for the UAE market, which will play out before 2027.
