Waterhouse VC has agreed a deal including a three-year option to acquire an interest in Spinlab Studio, a no-code platform built for online casino operators. This
allows the investment fund flexibility to partner with the company.
Spinlab Studio is focused on reducing the time and cost involved in launching iGaming brands. Its platform is designed to provide operators with a full-stack solution combining the key components required to enter regulated online gambling markets.
Traditionally, operators need separate agreements covering payments, casino content, compliance support, and platform infrastructure. Spinlab aims to consolidate these into a single system, allowing operators to prioritise marketing, acquisition, and retention.
Platform targets faster launches and lower operational complexity
Co-founder Leon Lanen said: “Launching an iGaming operation is still too complex and expensive. Spinlab Studio removes that friction so operators can get to market quickly and focus on building their business.
“We aim to do what Shopify did to E-commerce, for the iGaming industry.”
Tom Waterhouse, chief investment officer of Waterhouse VC, said the platform addresses a key operational challenge by helping operators bring products to market quicker and more efficiently.
Early traction and SaaS-style pricing model support growth
Since launching in January 2026, Spinlab Studio has onboarded around 30 operators. The platform uses a tiered pricing structure that scales with operator growth, plus a free trial. This approach aligns more with SaaS models than traditional gambling platform contracts. The company makes entry easier for smaller operators or new operators without the resources required for full in-house development.
Spinlab Studio recently completed a seed funding round including founders and early investors connected to a listed European iGaming technology business. That capital will be used to expand sales activity and further develop the platform’s capabilities.
Investment aligns with supplier-side strategy in growing market
The deal fits Waterhouse VC’s broader investment strategy, which focuses on supplier-side businesses that support wagering and gaming operators rather than consumer-facing brands.
Furthermore, the 3-year option provides exposure for Waterhouse VC to the no-code platform without immediate capital deployment. For Spinlab Studio, the partnership adds credibility to its position within the B2B gambling technology space.
Spinlab Studio has hit a major milestone in its growth after agreeing a deal with Waterhouse VC. This partnership offers the investment company the option of consolidating its interest within a 3-year period. The agreement is a win-win situation for both companies.
