Sleeper Improves Sports App Experience With Kalshi-powered Prediction Markets

Sports platform Sleeper has introduced in app prediction market trading through a new integration with Kalshi, giving its estimated 10 million users direct access to event-based contracts. The rollout begins with sports focused markets, with additional real world categories expected to follow as the product develops.

Kalshi aims to push distribution through partnerships that place prediction markets inside existing consumer platforms.

Integration expands Kalshi’s distribution footprint

The partnership adds Sleeper to a list of platforms embedding Kalshi-powered markets, such as Robinhood, Coinbase and PrizePicks. Kalshi has reported annualised trading volume exceeding $115bn, supported by rising interest in products tied to sports and current affairs.

Major sporting events have driven a large share of activity. Trading tied to the recent US professional football championship is projected to exceed $800m in volume.

By extending access through established consumer apps, Kalshi targets audiences already engaging with sports data, community features and digital finance tools.

Sleeper moves beyond fantasy sports roots

Sleeper built its reputation through season-long fantasy leagues, social engagement features, and the daily fantasy sports Picks product. Embedding prediction markets into the existing interface allows Sleeper to present contract trading as an additional engagement layer rather than a replacement for fantasy gameplay.

This approach positions prediction markets as another form of participation tied to real-time sports narratives, further expanding Sleeper’s user base.

Regulatory considerations shape rollout timeline

Sleeper has not confirmed which jurisdictions will initially support the new feature, noting that availability will depend on local legal and regulatory requirements. The companies explained that the integration will evolve over time, with new markets and product updates expected as adoption grows.

The launch arrives amid a wave of activity across prediction markets. Winners recently unveiled the MeVu platform offering access to both Kalshi and Polymarket, while Coinbase expanded its Kalshi-powered product nationwide in the US.

Furthermore, Kalshi has also strengthened efforts to tackle insider trading by promoting Robert DeNault to Head of Enforcement. The company has also formed a new Surveillance Audit Committee to monitor market integrity.
