La Liga has entered a multi-year agreement with Polymarket, naming the platform its Official and Exclusive Prediction Market Partner in the US and Canada.
The collaboration will focus on expanding fan engagement across North America, particularly among younger audiences consuming football through digital and multi-screen platforms.
Relevent CEO & Partner, Boris Gartner said: “Soccer’s growth, especially in North America, is spearheaded by young, diverse and multicultural audiences who consume the game across multiple screens, so it’s our goal to continue to engage these demographics in new and unique ways.”
“It’s imperative we go beyond traditional engagement efforts in order to bring these audiences closer to the beautiful game than ever before, and we couldn’t think of a better partner than Polymarket to achieve that.”
Partnership includes IP rights and fan engagement initiatives
This agreement gives Polymarket exclusive rights to use La Liga and club intellectual property. It will feature broadcast integrations, digital content and social media campaigns.
Also, there will be fan-focused activations like VIP matchday hospitality and meet-and-greet experiences with popular La Liga players.
Shayne Coplan said: “Our goal is to give fans a more expressive way to follow the game, where opinions on players, matches and season outcomes can be reflected in real time.
“Partnering with La Liga brings that level of interaction to one of the most passionate global fanbases and introduces a new, more dynamic way for North American audiences to engage with the league.”
Polymarket expands footprint across US sports leagues
The La Liga deal adds to Polymarket’s growing presence in North American sports. On 19 March, Major League Baseball confirmed a partnership with the platform, granting access to official data and league marks.
The agreement includes a termination clause allowing MLB to exit if courts determine that prediction markets breach state laws.
Earlier in 2026, Soccer United Marketing also signed a deal with Polymarket, covering Major League Soccer and the Leagues Cup tournament.
