Altenar has introduced a new World Cup Lobby ahead of this summer’s tournament, aiming to simplify sportsbook navigation and improve player engagement.
The dedicated event hub brings together markets, statistics, promotions and tournament content in a single environment. With 104 matches scheduled across 16 host cities, the platform will help players access betting opportunities more efficiently during high-traffic events.
Operators can use the lobby to centralise all tournament-related content instead of directing players across multiple sections of a sportsbook.
New features built around tournament engagement
The World Cup Lobby combines Altenar’s sportsbook infrastructure with a range of tournament-focused widgets and navigation tools.
Interactive team and player carousels allow users to browse swipeable BetCards, markets and promotional content. Dedicated team and player pages also provide direct access to statistics, tournament information and related betting opportunities.
The product includes integrated standings, knockout brackets and outright markets, allowing players to move between matches, teams and betting selections without leaving the event hub.
Operators can localise and personalise the experience
Altenar built regional customisation into the platform, so operators can prioritise specific teams, competitions and markets depending on local audience preferences. The lobby supports personalised betting recommendations based on player behaviour and activity patterns.
According to Altenar, the product is not limited to the World Cup and can be adapted for other major sporting events. Operators will also be able to run several event-focused hubs simultaneously across their sportsbook platforms.
“Major tournaments such as this year’s World Cup create huge engagement and our goal with the new lobby is to build an environment where players can explore everything around the competition in one place,” Nikos Zygouris said.
“The World Cup Lobby brings together markets, statistics, teams and personalised recommendations into a single experience, helping operators to deliver a more intuitive and engaging sportsbook during the biggest moments in the sporting calendar.”
Altenar has launched a dedicated betting lobby for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup. This tool is aimed at improving user experience and engagement during the tournament. It also allows operators to set preferences based on local audiences.
