Paf Acquires Bell Casino To Expand Land & Ship division

Finnish gambling operator Paf has acquired Bell Casino, a company that provides gaming entertainment across more than 50 ferries and cruise ships operating throughout Europe.

While financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, Paf confirmed that Bell Casino will continue operating under its existing brand and business structure. All 28 employees will remain with the company, including founder Morgan Eliasson and CEO Marcus Eliasson.

Morgan Eliasson will transition into a senior advisor role, while Marcus Eliasson will continue leading the business.

Acquisition Strengthens European Ferry Presence

The acquisition expands Paf’s Land & Ship division and increases its reach across several major European ferry routes.

Bell Casino currently operates onboard vessels travelling between Sweden, Germany, Poland, the Baltic region, the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands. By combining operations, Paf and Bell Casino will provide gaming services across approximately 80 vessels.

The enlarged business will manage around 1,500 gaming machines alongside 450 arcade games, giving Paf a larger footprint within the maritime gaming sector.

Paf Targets Long-Term Maritime Growth

Paf Chief Executive Officer Christer Fahlstedt described the acquisition as an important step for the company’s future strategy. He said the deal was “strategically important” for Paf’s Land & Ship division and would support the business’ development over the coming years.

Land & Ship Chief Operating Officer Lasse Danielsson also commented, highlighting that Bell Casino complements Paf’s operations across both geographic reach and commercial activities.

“Our combined business gives us scale advantages when investing in modernisation and new technology,” he said. “Together with Bell’s business, we will have the right foundation to continue investing and growing in the years ahead.

“I look forward to the positive opportunities and synergies that our combined operations can create.”

On June 1, Bell Casino officially joined the Paf Group.

Paf has expanded its Land & Ship division with its acquisition of Bell Casino. Therefore, they can now offer premium gaming experiences across a fleet of 80 vessels travelling between Sweden, Germany, the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, and a few other countries. The acquisition was concluded on 1 June.
