Online gambling brought in $335.7 million during the month. Sports betting and iGaming combined created this massive revenue figure.
Michigan smashed its previous online sports betting record in November, pulling in $87.3 million in revenue, the highest monthly total the state has seen. That tops January’s old mark of $83 million. Sports betting wasn’t the only thing on the rise, either. The whole online gambling market kept growing compared to last year, according to the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
Sports betting and iGaming combined to generate $335.7 million in Michigan’s gross online gambling revenue. The month showed an 18.1% increase from November last year. October’s all-time high remained out of reach by approximately 4.7%. Market momentum continues despite missing the record. iGaming maintains its dominance over the total figures.
Sports Betting Shines While iGaming Cools
Sports betting stole the show in Michigan this November. For months, iGaming led online gambling growth, but this time, sports bettors pushed revenue to new heights. Players flocked to sportsbooks, and operators delivered strong results. Still, iGaming didn’t fade into the background. Online casinos pulled in $248.4 million for the month, up almost 10% from last year. That’s solid growth, even if it doesn’t match the all-time record of $278.5 million set just one month earlier.
After accounting for promotional spending, the entire online gambling market brought in $298 million in November. That’s up 24% from last November, though it trails October’s $310.9 million. Adjusted iCasino receipts climbed nearly 15% year-over-year, while sports betting receipts soared by almost 75%. The numbers don’t lie: sports betting is heating up, but iGaming still brings in the bulk of the money.
Player Spending and Betting Activity
Michigan saw $631.1 million in online sports bets in November. That’s down 2.9% from last year, so a bit less betting action even though operators pulled in more revenue. Looking at gross receipts, the sports betting hold hit 13.83%. If you switch to adjusted receipts, the hold lands at 10.25%.
FanDuel and MotorCity Continue to Lead in Michigan
FanDuel and MotorCity kept their grip on the top spot in Michigan. Their partnership brought in $39.3 million in gross receipts and $28.2 million in adjusted receipts for November. BetMGM rounded out the top three. The brand pulled in $10.5 million in gross revenue, $6.7 million in adjusted revenue, and posted a 12.34% hold from $85.1 million in bets. On the iGaming side, FanDuel and MotorCity led again, notching $71.8 million in gross receipts and $67.5 million in adjusted revenue. MGM and BetMGM took second with $63 million gross and $59.2 million adjusted. Rush Street Interactive, partnered with the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, finished third, bringing in $22.7 million gross and $21.3 million adjusted.

Detroit Casino Revenue Level in November
Looking at Detroit’s casino numbers, the state reported that MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity Casino, and Hollywood Casino at Greektown brought in a combined $108.2 million for the month.
