Konami Gaming has officially secured a vendor licence from the United Arab Emirates’ General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA). This empowers them to offer casino games and management solutions in the region. The move is integral as the UAE builds foundations for a regulated commercial gaming industry.
With this approval, Konami will become a key supplier to upcoming casino operations in the UAE, including Wynn Resorts’ integrated resort on Al Marjan Island.
Expanding Presence in a Growing Market
Konami’s entry into the UAE gaming market is similar to recent trends of international suppliers obtaining vendor licences as the nation prepares for its first land-based casino. The company joins a list of gaming companies licensed in the UAE, including Light & Wonder and other established names like IGT, Aristocrat, and Novomatic.
The UAE is demonstrating a strong commitment to regulated commercial gaming, aiming to boost economic diversification. The GCGRA’s licensing process has attracted global stakeholders eager to launch in this emerging market.
Konami’s Product Offering and Global Footprint
Konami Gaming is known for its Class III random number generator (RNG) slot machines and comprehensive casino management systems. Synkros is one of its flagship products, a real-time casino management platform presently used at The Star in Australia and Ocean Casino Resort in the United States.
The company also maintains a presence in the digital space with online gaming solutions. They recently expanded online slot offerings in markets such as Portugal and Paraguay. In addition, Konami titles were introduced at PlayCity Casino in Mexico, fueling the company’s global expansion efforts.
A Commitment to Compliance and Innovation
President and CEO of Konami Gaming, Tom Jingoli, stated the company’s commitment to regulatory compliance and operational integrity after the UAE licence approval. “Since Konami Gaming’s inception, our global growth has been achieved with an unwavering commitment to compliance. As the United Arab Emirates expands its economy to the regulated commercial gaming space, Konami is dedicated to supporting this market with the same integrity, innovation, and excellence we bring to all 431 gaming jurisdictions we serve worldwide.”
With this new licence, the UAE joins Konami’s list of active markets. This reinforces the company’s role as a top player in global land-based and digital gaming solutions. As the UAE prepares for the first casino, Konami will play a foundational role in its gaming landscape.
