Kambi Completes Transition as OLG Sportsbook Provider

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation launched a Kambi-powered sportsbook after a novation agreement involving FDJ Gaming Solutions.

Key Points

  • Kambi has formally taken sportsbook responsibility for OLG across retail and online channels nationwide.
  • OLG PROLINE and PROLINE+ services went live using Kambi technology on January 27.
  • The transition follows a novation agreement first announced in 2025.

Kambi Group has taken contractual responsibility for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation’s multi-channel sportsbook after completing a novation agreement. The agreement involved FDJ Gaming Solutions France and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

Kambi Completes Transition as OLG’s Long-Term Sports Betting Technology Partner

This transition completes a process first announced in 2025 during partner selection. At that time, Kambi replaced FDJ as the long-term sports betting technology partner. The selection depended on regulatory approvals and fulfilment of specific conditions. With conditions now met, Kambi has assumed full responsibility for sports betting service delivery. These services cover OLG retail platforms and digital platforms. OLG confirmed its sportsbook, powered by Kambi Turnkey Sportsbook, went live on January 27. The operator delivers sports wagering through the retail PROLINE brand and PROLINE+ online platform. All profits return into public programs and services across Ontario. Under the agreement, Kambi supplies underlying sportsbook technology and associated operational services. Support covers trading, risk management, platform infrastructure, and compliance functions. These functions ensure operation within Ontario-regulated market requirements.

OLG Backs Kambi Partnership to Strengthen PROLINE Sports Betting Leadership

Kambi Group CEO Werner Becher said the company completed the transition with satisfaction. Becher stated the partnership enters a new chapter following the transition completion. He added that Kambi met the novation agreement conditions and launched official sportsbook services. Becher said Kambi partners with one of the world’s respected lottery operators. OLG President and CEO Duncan Hannay said OLG aims to deliver a PROLINE sports betting experience leadership. Hannay stated OLG welcomes collaboration with new partner Kambi. He said Kambi offers a track record covering product delivery and operational reliability. Hannay added that OLG remains committed to returning value to Ontario communities.

The transition strengthens Kambi’s presence within North American lottery and sports betting markets. State and provincial lottery operators maintain roles in regulated wagering environments. For OLG, the move supports digital and retail modernisation across gaming verticals. Earlier this week, Brightstar Lottery deployed the Sales Wizard automation platform at OLG. The system integrates with the central infrastructure, delivering real-time sales and performance data.
