Aristocrat has announced the appointment of Michael Daly as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Execution for its global operations. Daly will be saddled with the responsibility of creating new business strategies and improving customer experience with the aim of driving international growth for the company.
He will also oversee the customer journey, beginning from the first stages of onboarding, to identify where services can be improved and how customers can be better supported. Aristocrat said Daly’s appointment is part of its plan to expand and strengthen its position in the gaming industry.
Over Two Decades of Experience
Daly brings more than 20 years of experience in gaming and technology to his new position. He began his career in 2003 when he joined Shuffle Master as Product Manager for Electronic Tables. He later worked at Bally Technologies for more than six years, before moving into leadership roles at GAN, where he served as Executive Vice President for North America.
Daly played a major role in the company’s growth during his time at GAN. Under his leadership, the number of casino groups managed by GAN expanded from three to fifteen in just two years. He also helped boost division contributions by more than 50 percent annually.
Known for Leadership at Catena Media
Daly is widely recognised for his role as CEO of Catena Media between 2021 and 2024. Before becoming CEO, he held several senior management positions within the company, mainly focusing on the US market. After leaving Catena Media, he re-launched his own gaming and media consultancy company, offering advice and strategies to businesses in the sector.
Earlier this year, in February, Daly was also appointed Chief Operating Officer of Marker Trax, a position he still holds alongside his new role at Aristocrat.
Aristocrat Strengthens Leadership Team
Daly’s appointment is the second major leadership change at Aristocrat this month. The company recently confirmed that Dylan Slaney, formerly of Light & Wonder, has joined as the new CEO of Aristocrat Interactive. These moves show that Aristocrat is making changes at the higher level as it prepares for future growth.
With Daly leading global business development and Slaney heading Interactive operations, Aristocrat has put experienced industry figures in key positions. The company has also signed a number of high-profile deals in recent weeks, further emphasizing its aim to expand its influence in the international gaming sector.
By appointing Daly, Aristocrat gains a leader with a proven track record of building businesses, improving customer experience, and guiding companies through times of change. His background in gaming and his history of successful growth strategies suggest that Aristocrat is preparing for an ambitious new phase in its global journey.
