DraftKings has been announced as the wagering provider for ESPN’s PGA Tour Live betcast, expanding the programme across 12 events during the 2026 golf calendar. The coverage will stream on ESPN+ and begin with the Waste Management Phoenix Open on 5 February in Arizona.
Before ESPN’s split from Penn Entertainment in 2025, ESPN Bet served as official sportsbook partner for the broadcast. However, the DraftKings agreement in November will engage viewers with integrated live odds to be aired on ESPN+.
Expanded broadcast aims to deepen fan engagement through live data
DraftKings CMO Stephanie Sherman commented that this partnership will ensure more interactive sports viewing for the audiences.
“Our collaboration with the PGA Tour and ESPN reflects a shared, forward-looking approach to fan engagement,” Sherman said. “For those who see betting as part of their entertainment experience, by integrating our industry-leading golf offerings into PGA Tour Live Betcast, we’re creating a more immersive, real-time way to follow the action from the first tee shot to the final putt, while fostering a sense of connection and community around the sport.”
The betcast will feature live analysis of betting markets, previews of upcoming rounds, betting discussions around golf, and tournament features.
ESPN positions betcasts as alternative viewing experience
ESPN has framed the expanded betcast format as an approach to combine new viewing options with traditional sports coverage. According to John Suchenski, Senior Director of Programming and Acquisitions, alternative feeds provide audiences with improved access to live events.
“At ESPN, we want to provide fans with more access, insight and ways to connect with sports,” Suchenski said. “The Betcasts give fans another option to engage with PGA Tour LIVE and be an attraction to those who desire alternative ways to traditional feeds.”
PGA Tour highlights growth of betting focused coverage
PGA Tour Vice President of Gaming Scott Warfield welcomed the new integrations in his statement.
“The PGA Tour is pleased to present more than 400 hours of live betting coverage in 2026 alongside our collaborators at ESPN and DraftKings. Building on the success of last year’s feed, we are excited to further expand this season with the support of DraftKings and its world-class golf product,” Warfield said.
Following the Phoenix Open, the betcast will continue at the Genesis Invitational before concluding with the Tour Championship in August.
