October revenue totalled $71.3 million across all operators. Last October’s revenue was 47.6% lower, while September fell 36.3% short. The all-time revenue peak remains $96.4 million from January 2025. Digital platforms produced $70.7 million in sports betting revenue. Physical locations contributed just $598,901 to the total. Massachusetts recorded a 7.99% statewide hold during October. Other states experienced similar growth patterns. Pennsylvania announced record betting activity, while Michigan saw unprecedented betting revenue.
DraftKings Maintains Massachusetts Leadership
The Boston-based DraftKings keeps its commanding market position. Revenue reached $38.5 million from $447.4 million handle, producing an 8.61% hold. Second-place FanDuel generated $17.3 million in revenue. Players bet $237.3 million through FanDuel for a 7.38% hold. Fanatics rose one spot, earning $7.5 million from $82.4 million in wagers with a 9.1% hold. Revenue at BetMGM totalled $3.6 million from $55 million in bets. The operator achieved 6.55% hold. ESPN Bet followed, earning $2.1 million from $27.7 million handle at 7.58% hold. Caesars received $1.4 million in revenue from $25 million bets for a 5.6% hold.
Only Bally Bet remains among other online operators. The platform earned $314,452 from a $4.8 million handle, achieving a 6.69% monthly hold. Among retail venues, Plainridge Park Casino earned $306,328 in revenue. Bettors wagered $5.4 million there for a 5.72% hold. Encore Boston Harbour collected $292,573 from $6 million in bets at 4.91% hold. MGM Springfield accepted $1.3 million in handle but generated no revenue.
Massachusetts Casino Revenue Reaches $96 Million
Tables contributed $25.1 million more. Encore Boston Harbour topped casinos with $57.6 million in revenue. MGM earned $24.1 million, followed by Plainridge Park at $15.2 million. Tax collections reached $42.1 million in October for Massachusetts. Casinos provided $27.9 million in taxes while sports betting added $14.2 million.
Companies
