Hacksaw Gaming has expanded its content network by buying a stake in Kitsune Studios. Kitsune is one of the developers working on Hacksaw’s OpenRGS platform. With this move, Hacksaw aims to build a closer and more stable long term relationship with the studio. The agreement also gives Hacksaw the option to increase its stake in the future, showing that the company sees strong potential in the partnership.
Kitsune Studios joined the OpenRGS platform in March 2025. Since then, the studio has released three games, with a fourth one scheduled for December. Hacksaw believes that working with external developers like Kitsune helps increase the variety of its game portfolio and brings new ideas into the mix. This approach supports the company’s goal of offering more creative content while still working on its own in-house development.
Focus on Content Growth
Hacksaw Gaming views the partnership with Kitsune as part of a wider plan to expand the content available on OpenRGS. The platform allows partner studios to distribute their games to a larger audience and helps Hacksaw deliver more choices to operators. Kitsune’s growing output has already added value to the platform, and deeper cooperation is expected to increase that impact.
Marcus Cordes, Operational CEO of Hacksaw Gaming, said the company places high importance on building strong ties with promising studios. He noted that closer collaboration will help produce better games and reach more players. According to him, Kitsune Studios has already shown talent and creativity, making them a good fit for Hacksaw’s long term strategy.
Wider Expansion in Regulated Markets
The strengthened relationship with Kitsune comes at a time when Hacksaw Gaming is enlarging its presence in regulated markets around the world. Recently, Hacksaw launched its content with BetOCEAN in New Jersey. The company also secured entry into the Czech market through a deal with Apollo Games. These developments are separate from the Kitsune investment but highlight Hacksaw’s ongoing effort to grow its distribution network and make its content available in more regions.
By partnering with more platforms and studios, Hacksaw aims to reach a wider range of players and give operators a stronger selection of game types. The company believes this strategy will help meet the increasing demand for high quality, varied and easy to access content.
Looking Ahead
Hacksaw and Kitsune did not reveal the size of the investment or provide details about future projects. However, Hacksaw stated that the expanded partnership is intended to strengthen the OpenRGS pipeline. As the market for third party content and aggregation services keeps growing, the companies expect their collaboration to play an important role in meeting demand. The patnership is seen as a step toward producing more innovative games and supporting long term stability for the parties involved.
