New Jersey’s gaming industry recorded $581.6 million in total revenue for June 2025. This was an 18.4 percent increase from the same month last year. According to the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), the increase can be attributed to strong performances in iGaming and sports betting, while land-based casinos also contributed moderately.
The three main sectors posted year-on-year increases, extending the positive trend seen throughout the second quarter of the year.
Land-Based Casinos Show Balanced Performance
Casino revenue reached $259 million in June, a 6.1 percent year-on-year increase. Slot machine win, the largest component of casino revenue, dipped slightly by 0.7% to $182.8 million. However, table games offset the decline with a sharp 26.9% increase, totaling $76.2 million.
Among leading casino operators, Borgata reported the highest revenue at $76.7 million, up 19.4 percent. Ocean Casino followed with $43.5 million, rising 30.1 percent. Also, Caesars recorded a 7.4% increase up to $20.5 million, while Hard Rock Atlantic City saw a 5.5% decline to $45.8 million. Despite the weakness in slot performance, most casinos maintained strong overall revenue levels.
iGaming Sector Maintains Rapid Growth
The iGaming sector generated $230.7 million in June , up 23.5% from the previous year. The bulk of this revenue is $228 million and it came from other authorised games, which rose by 23.7%. Peer-to-peer games contributed $2.7 million, an increase of 9.4%.
FanDuel led the market with $53.3 million in iGaming revenue, growing 48.2% year-on-year. DraftKings followed at $43.6 million, while BetMGM reported $30.2 million. Caesars Palace also performed well with $16.9 million and Hard Rock Bet racked in a total of $13.5 million.
Online Sports Betting Dominates the Market
Sports betting revenue rose 52.9% year-on-year to $91.9 million, with $91.2 million generated through online platforms. However, retail sportsbooks lagged behind with $600,000. FanDuel remained the top performer with $35.8 million in sports betting revenue, increasing by 22.9%. DraftKings followed with $24.3 million, up 69.2 percent. BetFanatics stood out with a 571.3 percent increase, reaching $12 million in mobile revenue.
Furthermore, the total betting handle for June hit $790.4 million, with $755 million generated from online wagers. Year-to-date, New Jersey has reported over $6 billion in total handle and $558.2 million in revenue, maintaining a 9.2% hold rate. With strong digital performance and the NFL season on the horizon, the industry is positioned for steady growth heading into Q3.
