Don.ro Named Main Sponsor of CFR Cluj for 2025/26 Season

Soft2Bet has announced a major sponsorship deal between its Romanian brand Don.ro and leading Liga 1 football club, CFR 1907 Cluj. The partnership begins with the 2025/26 season, designating Don.ro as the club’s main sponsor in a multi-year agreement. This will boost fan engagement and promote responsible gaming practices. 

Under the agreement terms, Don.ro branding will feature prominently on CFR Cluj’s home and away kits, training gear, and across the Dr Constantin Radulescu stadium. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for Don.ro and the football club, as they strengthen visibility on the domestic and international stage.

Strengthening National and International Presence

CFR Cluj President Cristian Balaj stated that the partnership represents a clear endorsement of the club’s success and ambition. “The fact that Don.ro is becoming the main partner of our club is both a validation of the work we do every day and an important step in strengthening CFR Cluj’s image both nationally and internationally,” Balaj said. 

The sponsorship will be supported by a range of digital and matchday activations designed to deepen the connection between fans and the team. In addition, all season ticket holders will receive a free team jersey as part of a promotional campaign tied to the agreement.

Soft2Bet Focuses on Localised Fan Engagement

Don.ro, which launched in 2024, operates on Soft2Bet’s proprietary MEGA platform, known for supporting gamified engagement features. While some of the platform tools are currently inactive due to Romania’s regulatory guidelines, the company keeps innovating within the legal framework.

The partnership with CFR Cluj will focus on localised fan experiences and responsible gaming outreach. This positions Don.ro as a leading gaming brand and an advocate for consumer protection.

Global Growth Continues for Soft2Bet

Soft2Bet has steadily expanded its international presence throughout 2025. In March, the company entered the US market through a market access agreement with Caesars Entertainment in New Jersey. This follows recent successful launches in Greece with ElaBet.gr and the award of a full general gaming licence in Spain.
