pawaTech, the licensor of betPawa in Africa, said betPawa will end its Senegal service on 22nd September 2025. The hard choice came from market issues in Senegal harming licensed and taxed firms.

Heavy taxes, monopoly in payment, and big regulation fees put locals at a disadvantage compared to offshore rivals. This situation made unfair ground, where local licensed firms cannot stay compliant or give good offers. Other African markets with fair taxes and open payments let betPawa give strong, safe service.

There, betPawa helped grow gaming, raised tax money, and created many local jobs. But in Senegal, strict rules pushed activity outside, cutting the licensed firms’ value for the economy and society. pawaTech, with local partners, still holds the aim for fair, clear, and stable business in Africa.
