MIBR is the first team in Riot Games’ ecosystem to get approval for a betting sponsorship, a milestone for esports in Brazil and beyond. The organization announced a new deal with betting company 1xBet for its Valorant team.
Riot approved the partnership only after MIBR completed a detailed compliance process. The team had to meet strict rules and show strong internal procedures before the sponsorship could move forward.
A New Step After Riot Opens the Market
Riot Games did not allow betting sponsors for a long time, but that changed in early 2025 when the company opened the League of Legends and Valorant markets in the Americas and EMEA to approved betting brands. This gave teams a chance to look for betting partners, but only if they met strict rules on transparency, good governance, and fair play. Riot was clear that any team seeking a deal had to show it could follow these standards.
To meet these requirements, MIBR started preparing early in the year. The team strengthened its internal processes, set clearer rules for players and staff, and added stronger oversight. It also updated policies to protect competitive integrity and keep everything compliant. Because of this preparation, MIBR became the first team to complete Riot’s approval process and secure a betting sponsorship.
A With a Long History
The new Valorant sponsorship is another step in the long partnership between MIBR and 1xBet. The two sides first worked together in January 2022 with the Counter-Strike team, and the deal expanded in early 2025 to support the MCs of MIBR Rap Clube. Now, adding the mixed Valorant lineup strengthens the relationship even more.
The agreement also includes popular streamer Sacy as an ambassador. He will help promote this new phase of the partnership and connect with fans across different platforms. MIBR says combining its competitive teams with well-known community figures will help the brand reach supporters while staying responsible and following Riot’s rules.
According to Raphael Castanheira, MIBR’s Director of Marketing and Partnerships, the approval reflects how much the organization has grown. He said MIBR has put a strong focus on governance, clear internal policies, and transparent communication. These improvements helped make the approval process smoother and faster.
Looking Ahead to 2026
With the Valorant team now included in the 1xBet partnership, MIBR ends the year by strengthening its governance model and planning a new round of activities. These will feature campaigns with Sacy and content and events involving the Counter-Strike, Valorant, and MIBR Rap Clube teams.
MIBR says all actions tied to the partnership will follow Riot’s rules for competitive integrity and responsible communication. The organization remains focused on creating value for the esports community and its partners. More updates will be shared soon on MIBR’s official channels.
