Milton Keynes site shows ongoing UK expansion. Merkur Casino UK announced a new casino opening at Xscape Milton Keynes. The company keeps expanding in the UK leisure sector. Saturday, 1 November 2025 marks the official opening date for this venue. The 22,000 square feet total space includes a 1,367 m² gaming floor containing 72 slot machines, 26 electronic roulette terminals and 15 live gaming tables. A 4,700 square foot bar and event space sits inside too. Live performances, community events and private functions will happen there.
The central position made Milton Keynes the perfect location choice. The company already runs a UK head office in this town. More than 100 jobs come from this opening across gaming, hospitality and management. Merkur’s development programmes will train new staff for long-term employment in business. Construction and fit-out used local suppliers and contractors. Regional partners work with the company following this policy where possible.
Grand Opening Celebrations and £10,000 Prize Draw
At launch, we saw the grand opening of the venue. We have ribbon-cutting ceremonies, live entertainment and a £10,000 cash prize draw. The Northern Ireland market welcomed Merkur for the first time recently. Oasis Retail Services’ acquisition made this happen. The Gaming Arts acquisition was finalised by Merkur in September. May’s announcement became a complete deal, advancing North American market re-establishment plans.
Mark Schertle holds the Merkur COO position. “Estate receives significant investment from us, developing welcoming venues bringing gaming, hospitality and entertainment together,” he stated. “Milton Keynes’ confidence shows through this opening. Growing leisure destinations and home bases both matter to us.”
