Expanse Studios Secures Certification To Deploy Titles In Estonia And Latvia Markets

Expanse Studios has received regulatory certification allowing its gaming titles to be distributed in the Baltic markets of Estonia and Latvia.

The studio, operating under Meridian Holdings, confirmed the approval followed technical assessments conducted by Gaming Associates, a testing lab accredited in UKAS.

Two titles from the developer’s portfolio, Candy’s Bonanza and Leprechaun’s Wish, were confirmed to meet the standards required by local authorities.

With the certification completed, the titles can now be deployed through licensed online gaming platforms operating in Estonia and Latvia.

Certification Opens Access To Regulated Baltic Markets

Independent technical testing is required before game developers can distribute content through licensed operators in several European jurisdictions.

The approvals allow Expanse Studios to introduce its games through authorised platforms that serve players within the two countries.

Operators must ensure all content has been certified by recognised testing laboratories. So they can distribute products through regulated channels without breaching local licensing rules.

The Baltic region has attracted attention from content providers seeking entry into established regulated markets with active online casino sectors.

Market Growth Supports Expansion Plans

Industry figures cited by the company indicate that Estonia’s online gambling market generated approximately $452.5m in 2025. Player engagement in the country remains strong, with average revenue per user estimated at around €150 each month.

Estonian authorities have also introduced legislation to reduce the online gambling tax rate from 6% to 4% by 2029. Latvia recorded €170.7m in online gambling revenue during 2025, forming about 57% of the country’s total gambling income and up 11% from the previous year.

Online casino titles account for more than 60% of Latvia’s digital gambling activity, indicating continued demand for slot and table game products.

Expanse Studios chief executive Damjan Stamenkovic said: “This certification gives us a solid foundation for further growth in this part of Europe. The approvals in the Baltics allow operators to go live more quickly, and they reflect the way we approach regulated markets.

We focus on building compliant, reliable distribution capabilities that create real long-term value.”
