Flutter Entertainment Launches Tech4Good Awards to Promote Global Innovation

A new joint venture initiative, the Tech4Good Awards, has been launched by Flutter Entertainment in partnership with Alpha Hub and Beyond Sports in support of technological innovation worldwide. Indeed, these newly launched awards look to offer £60,000 ($80,830) in funding to any organisation across the globe utilising technological innovation to promote health through sports and physical activity. Further, a bespoke innovation support program is also up for grabs for any applicants, with startups, social enterprises, nonprofits and similar mission-driven groups eligible for the initiative.

Flutter Champions Tech for Health and Wellbeing Through Tech4Good Awards

Speaking about the latest development, the Head of Comm and Engagement at Flutter Entertainment, Kerry McNally, said: “The Flutter Tech4Good Awards reflect our commitment to using technology as a force for good, in line with the ambitions of our Positive Impact Plan. Setting up some innovative tech-driven solutions will go a long way toward inspiring healthier, more active communities and tackling the growing problem of physical inactivity. Leveraging the Flutter Edge, we’re proud to support organisations that are using technology to deliver meaningful, long-term impact on health and wellbeing.”

Last month, Flutter UKI also launched a £500,000 grassroots support initiative, Cash4Clubs. As specified by Flutter, this latest launch comes amidst statistics that highlight 31% of adults are not meeting recommended activity levels across the globe, a fact which is taking a knock-on effect on both physical and mental well-being. For interested parties, applications for the Tech4Good awards are now open and will close on 31 October, with the winners set to be announced in the new year.
