Tipico Becomes Official Main Partner of Germany’s 3. Liga from 2025/26 Season

The German Football Association has announced a major new partnership, naming Tipico as the official main partner of 3. Liga beginning with the 2025/26 season. The multi-year deal will run through the 2027/28 campaign, further solidifying Tipico’s position in German professional football.

The top sports betting provider will receive exclusive central advertising rights within the 3. Liga under the new agreement. These include prominent branding on the right sleeve of all 20 third-division teams’ jerseys, extensive TV-relevant advertising board exposure in stadiums, and access to digital rights related to the league’s promotion.

This collaboration makes Tipico an official partner across all professional football competitions governed by the DFB. The brand also sponsors the men’s and women’s DFB-Pokal while maintaining partnerships with the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2.

A Strategic Expansion Across German Football

Kajetan Strini-Brown, Director of Marketing & Brand at Tipico, expressed enthusiasm about the company’s expanded involvement:

He added that the partnership is a logical extension of Tipico’s strategy to integrate with German football

Boosting Financial Support for 3. Liga Clubs

This partnership rewards third-tier clubs with vital resources, as generated funds are to be distributed annually among the 3. Liga teams. These funds will help bolster club operations, infrastructure, and fan engagement as interest in the league increases.

Holger Blask, Chairman of the Management Board of DFB GmbH & Co. KG, praised the partnership’s timing and value: 

“This good news rounds off an outstanding year in the 3. Liga, full of record attendances, and underscores the league’s popularity. Tipico is a strong and reliable partner that fits in with this.”

Promoting Responsible Sports Betting

Blask also stressed that responsible betting practices are a key part of the agreement. “Together, we want to continue our extensive efforts to promote responsible sports betting. For many years, the DFB has shared the goals set out in the State Treaty on Gambling. Promoting regulated offers and combating the black market are of great importance in preserving the integrity of the game and protecting players.”
