SPINIA and Mason Slots To Exit Dutch Market By May 25

Following the exits of Dreamz and CrazyFox, SPINIA and Mason Slots are also withdrawing from the Dutch market. These online casinos, owned by N1 Interactive Limited, will be accessible to players in the Netherlands for the last time on May 25th, 2025. Customers received notifications via email that they have until the closure date to withdraw remaining balances.

This move marks the end of SPINIA’s longstanding presence in the Netherlands, though it never had a local license. Conversely, Mason Slots is exiting the market at the same time. So, Dutch players signed up to both sites face the same payout deadline.

No Explanations Given for Exit

As with the previous closures of Dreamz and CrazyFox, no reason was given in the customer communications for the sudden departure. SPINIA’s email highlights that users have only a few days left to act:

“We hereby inform you that SPINIA is no longer available in your country. If there are any funds in your account, please make sure to withdraw them by May 25, 2025, 23:59 UTC. After that time you will no longer be able to access our website.”

Although the site will become inaccessible in the Netherlands after the deadline, the casino noted that players can still contact customer support for assistance with pending withdrawals.

Brands Facing Regulatory Pressure

This withdrawal doesn’t come as a surprise. SPINIA and Mason Slots have previously drawn attention from the Dutch Gambling Authority and other regulatory bodies. In 2023, parent company N1 Interactive was fined €12.6 million for the illegal operation of Bob Casino, which had over a million website visits from the Netherlands in 2021.

Furthermore, SPINIA and Mason Slots were featured in a 2023 study by the Seal of Responsible Affiliates, which tracked search traffic from unlicensed platforms. Together, the brands generated nearly 20,000 Google searches per month from Dutch users. They also appeared in the 2024 Gambling Barometer as some of the most-visited illegal casinos by players in the country.

Shifting Market Landscape in the Netherlands

The exit of these brands signals a trend of unlicensed operators closing operations in the Netherlands due to stricter enforcement and heavy fines. However, this is a reminder for players to remain cautious when engaging with unlicensed casinos and ensure timely payouts.

With the May 25 deadline fast approaching, customers of SPINIA and Mason Slots are advised to secure their balances as soon as possible. Access to the platforms will be permanently blocked from within the Netherlands afterwards.
