Monarch Casino & Resort Q3 Net Income Climbs 14.4% to Record $31.6m as Revenue Hits an All-Time High

The highest quarterly revenue and EBITDA in the company’s history result from casino growth and cost efficiencies at the operator. Strongest-ever quarterly results came to Monarch Casino & Resort with record revenue, profit and EBITDA for the third quarter of 2025. $142.8m in net revenue marked a 3.6% year-on-year increase while net income grew 14.4% to $31.6m.

Casino, food and beverage, and hotel divisions showed improved expense margins that lifted adjusted EBITDA 8.3% to $54.8m. 38.4% EBITDA margin expanded from 36.7%. Monarch’s casino operations primarily drove revenue growth through a 5.0% increase. Hotel revenue advanced 3.9% supported by higher average daily rates and stronger visitation, while F&B revenue added 2.9%.

Operating Expense Efficiency Strengthens Across All Segments

All areas showed operating expense improvements. 35.8% of casino revenue went to casino costs compared with 36.3% last year. 69.9% of segment revenue covered F&B expenses, down from 72.8%. 31.4% represented hotel operating expenses versus 33.8% in Q3 2024. Stable selling, general and administrative costs remained at $27.5m, equalling 19.3% of total revenue. The prior year showed a marginally higher percentage.

$0.30 per share quarterly dividend gets paid on 15 December 2025, following Monarch’s declaration. Share repurchases totalled 111,169 shares for $11.3m during the quarter. Without borrowings against its credit facility, the company maintains $107.6m in cash. Guest room redesigns at Atlantis in Reno consumed most of the $5.4m capital expenditure in the quarter. Maintenance projects proceed across both properties.

Overall growth continues with market share gains at Monarch Black Hawk in Colorado, providing support. Atlantis renovations aim to enhance long-term guest engagement. April 2025 saw Monarch report an 8.7% Q1 net profit increase to $19.9m. $125.4m in total revenue rose 3.1% led by casino revenue, as the company kept its $0.30 per share quarterly dividend and confirmed near-completion of Reno property renovations.
