Under its old name, ‘Playzones Programme’, this project aims to fix unbalanced access to physical activities and sports areas by paying for community-led facility spaces. Extra money and support came from the Football Foundation, Premier League, Professional Footballers Association, and Birmingham City Council. Because of this, the Kaizen Foundation will help create an extra 350 activity hours on outdoor mini pitches in less wealthy areas in Birmingham.
This funding from the Kaizen Foundation also goes to the long-term operations of seven local organisations in the centre of these communities. Any of these groups can ask for small grants, which the Aston Villa Foundation will manage, for things like equipment or costs for staff and volunteer qualifications and training. The Aston Villa Foundation gives professional services, sharing knowledge from their team in Grants and Fundraising, Marketing and Communications, Governance, Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact, Health and Safety, as well as Safeguarding and Risk Management.
New Multi-Use Games Areas to Be Developed at Aston Villa Foundation Warehouse Space
On top of that, a new Warehouse space plan will bring Multi Use Games Areas to life, with Aston Villa Foundation managing these facilities. Guy Rippon, who leads Foundation and Community at the Aston Villa Foundation, shared: “At the Aston Villa Foundation, we feel proud to work with a global group like the Kaizen Foundation, helping improve the lives of young people living near Villa Park.
“Both the ‘Play it Forward’ project and Kaizen Foundation’s mission match well and fit with our own roadmap support pillars. Organisations that help the community in Birmingham face many money cuts and more people in need than before. “Using this project, we want to give power and confidence to local groups to build themselves as independent bodies, and we also want to reduce the lack of play spaces for young people growing up in big city areas.”
About Kaizen Foundation: Driving Social Impact Worldwide
Kaizen Foundation is a Social Purpose Organisation, and it gets all its support from Kaizen Gaming, one of the world’s largest GameTech businesses. Its main goal is to act as a force for good changes worldwide together with communities, non-profits, and private and public groups. They want to help improve life in general by promoting new ideas and better ways for Society, Education, and the Environment.
Panos Konstantopoulos, the Kaizen Foundation’s President, explained: “For us, Play it Forward brings real help wherever there is a big need. When we invest in people and local groups, we do more than just fund activities; we help communities learn to keep going and build themselves. “As a group working worldwide, we are glad to mix our big-picture thinking with Aston Villa Foundation’s know-how for Birmingham, making an impact exactly where it counts most.”
