Yggdrasil Enters Lebanon with BetArabia Content Partnership

Slot provider moves into the MENA market by signing a local operator agreement.

Key Points:

  • Yggdrasil has signed a content deal with BetArabia, which is Lebanon’s sole licensed online casino.
  • The contract covers both Yggdrasil’s own games and YGG Masters partner content.
  • Lebanon’s Ministry of Finance gave BetArabia exclusive rights in 2022.

Yggdrasil took a step into iGaming in Lebanon by starting a new content partnership with BetArabia, which is the online branch of Casino Du Liban and has the nation’s only license.  BetArabia will now get access to Yggdrasil’s full collection of proprietary games, such as the Vikings series and Golden Fish Tank, as part of the new arrangement. Thirteen studio partners will also supply their games for BetArabia’s customers through this cooperation.

Yggdrasil Expands Footprint in MENA Region

Expansion into regulated areas continues for Yggdrasil, and deals like these have been happening in both Europe and the MENA region. “This collaboration marks an important moment as we make our first entry into the Lebanese market,” said Jose Kadala, Commercial Director for Yggdrasil.  He said the company sees good results with its product suite in many countries, and games for MENA users should perform well.

Good to know: Yggdrasil entered the Finnish market via a similar content agreement with Fruity Entertainment.  “This sets a new level, and we are proud to be first,” said Tigran Geghamyan, BetArabia COO. By mixing Yggdrasil’s games with BetArabia’s local knowledge, he explained, players in the area will get something new. BetArabia alone holds a 2022 license from the Lebanese Ministry of Finance for both iGaming and sports betting in the country.
