The Dutch Gaming Authority (KSA) is taking a strong stance against illegal gambling operations. They recently fined Winbet NV for offering online gambling to Dutch players without a license.
Winbet offered access through four websites: galaxyspins.com, winnercasino1.bet, superb1.bet, and doctorspins.com. The fine for Winbet matches a previous case and amounts to a hefty €280,000 per week, reaching a maximum of €840,000.
This isn’t the only action the KSA is taking. They’ve also set their sights on BC GAME, demanding they cease operations in the Netherlands. BlockDance BV, the company behind BC GAME, has been ordered to block access to their websites (bc.game and bcgame.lu) for Dutch players. Failure to comply within four weeks could result in a fine reaching €840,000.
Interestingly, this isn’t BlockDance BV’s first brush with the KSA. They previously blocked access to BC GAME from the Netherlands, but a surprise inspection revealed players could still register and deposit funds.
Despite these hefty fines, the KSA is yet to see any actual payments. Companies like Videoslots have managed to significantly reduce their fines through lengthy legal battles.
